Royal Challengers Bangalore secured an impressive 112-run victory over Rajasthan Royals, enhancing their chances of securing a playoff spot in the ongoing IPL 2023.
After setting a challenging target of 171 runs, Faf du Plessis-led RCB exhibited a stunning display of bowling to overpower their opponents.
RCB continued their momentum in the second innings, dismissing Rajasthan’s promising young opener Yashasvi Jaiswal for a duck in the first over. Jos Buttler, Jaiswal’s opening partner, also fell victim to RCB’s attack in the next over.
Rajasthan’s captain Sanju Samson followed suit in the same over. The visitors maintained complete control of the match as Rajasthan lost three more wickets in the next three overs.
