It is a winning start for the Indian cricket team as they win the first ODI match of the 3 match series by 12 runs to take a 1-0 lead in the series.
Team India had victor’s in the form of Shubman Gill with the bat and Mohammed Siraj with the bowl. Batting first, Team India posted 349 runs on the board, thanks to a magnificent double hundred by opening batsman Shubman Gill.
Chasing the target, home boy Mohammed Siraj gave New Zealand the early blows. But despite, there was a brilliant fightback from Kiwi batter Michael Bracewell, who scored a brilliant century.
But in the end, Siraj got the better of the Kiwis again as the Indian right-arm pacer took 4 wickets in his spell to help Team India pick-up the win. What was more exciting about Siraj’s performance today was that, his family was in attendance to watch the match.
After his performance at his home ground, the Twitterati praised the lad and are optimistic to have a bowling line-up consisting of Bumrah, Siraj and Umran Malik in the future.
