After the former New Zealand cricket team’s batsman Brendon McCullum took over the reins of the England cricket team, the England team have turned into a competitive force to reckon with.
Prior to the Brendon McCullum’s appointment as England Test head coach, the England team was going through a rough patch and was lurking towards the bottom of the World Test Championship 2021-2023 points table.
But after McCullum joined the team, there has been a change in the approach of the team and they are now playing a more aggressive brand of cricket, led by Jonny Bairstow, Ben Stokes and now Harry Brook.
England team is currently playing New Zealand in New Zealand in a 2 match Test series. England once again played attacking cricket and scored 325 runs in 2 and half session before captain Ben Stokes declared the inning before the end of Day 1’s play.
Ben Duckett scored 84 runs in 68 balls while Harry Brook also missed out on a hundred as he was dismissed for 89 runs of 81 balls. England also took 3 wickets at the end of the day’s play.
Meanwhile after their brilliant performance, former England cricketer Michael Vaughan said tweeted that England team is currently the best Test team in the world. However, everyone looked not happy with his statement, including the likes of Mark Waugh.
