After winning the toss, Australian captain Pat Cummins opted to bat first. However, both the openers Usman Khawaja and David Warner were both dismissed inside the first 3 overs.

Despite a solid partnership from Marnus Labuschagne and Steve Smith, it was a Ravindra Jadeja special on a match he is making his comeback from injury after missing several months of the game.

Jadeja took 5 wickets while his compatriot Ravichandran Ashwin took 3 wickets. However, it is Ravindra Jadeja’s spell that brought the difference. It took two brilliant deliveries from him to dismiss both Labuschagne and Smith.

However, in a photo and a clip that is going viral on social media, former England captain Michael Vaughan claimed that Ravindra Jadeja did a ball tampering.

However, it was reported by Sports Tak that Jadeja was actually applying ointment on his sore finger and no truth behind the ball tampering claim. However, the Indian fans were really disappointed and angry on Vaughan for his nonsense claim.
