The 2nd day of play has begun already in Nagpur as Indian cricket team aims to take a big lead in the 1st match of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2023 edition.
The day 1 of the 1st Test of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2023 in Nagpur ended with Australia bundled out for just 177 runs in 2 sessions while the Indian team scored 77 runs at the end of Day’s play with captain Rohit Sharma completing his half-century.
This all important 4 match Test series between India and Australia is a crucial series as India would look to seal their place in the World Test Championship 2021-2023 Final.
With this series holding such a big relevance, the Indian team is not getting the service of India’s best bowler in the recent history, Jasprit Bumrah.
Bumrah has missed a huge chunk of matches since September last year and is yet to make his comeback. When the squad for first 2 matches were announced, it was expected that Bumrah would be back for the remaining 2 matches.
But, according to now latest reports, Jasprit Bumrah will also now miss the upcoming 2 matches as well as BCCI is not looking to rush him in with the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 being the utmost priority.
Meanwhile Twitter feels that whatever the case, Bumrah will be back in the IPL and will play all matches, doesn’t matter if he gets injured or not.
