The cricket world and its fans witnessed one of the most craziest cricket match ever last night when Quetta Gladiators took in the Peshawar Zalmi in the match number 25 of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2023.
The match was played at the Pindi Club Ground in Rawalpindi, made famous for its flat pitch and short boundaries now that is being used in PSL 2023 edition to make the matches more interesting.
It was Peshawar Zalmi who won the toss and opted to bat first. They scored 240 runs for the loss of 2 wickets thanks to a century by their captain Babar Azam. Azam scored 115 runs and was well supported by Saim Ayub (74 runs 34 balls).
But, Quetta Gladiators, who were at the bottom of the PSL 2023 points table, had nothing to lose and went all guns blazing, led by their English opening batsman Jason Roy, who scored a mammoth 145 runs in 63 balls to lead his team to victory.
Roy had a strike rate of 230 and scored 20 fours and 5 sixes as part of his inning. After his brilliant performance, checkout how Twitterati reacted to the same.
