After a period of struggle in the 2019 to 2022 window, the Indian cricket team all-rounder Hardik Pandya is now back to his best and is also leading the team in the T20 format of the game.
Hardik Pandya faced quite a lot of injury and form issue during the year 2019 and 2022 window. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) even started looking for a backup in Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR)’s Venkatesh Iyer.
However, Hardik Pandya produced a brilliant comeback in IPL 2022, leading the new franchise Gujarat Titans to the IPL 2022 title in their inaugural season in the competition.
He is once again become an important member of the Indian cricket team. He is now consistently playing ODI cricket and is leading the T20I side.
However, he has been long dropped from the Test team and has not featured in the Test squad for long. Recently, his comment about his comeback to Test squad that created a ripple among the fans.
In an interview, Hardik Pandya said that he will come back to the Test side whenever he feels he is ready to play. Twitter questioned how can Hardik say so as it should be the selectors who will decide whether Hardik will play for India in Test.
Hardik Pandya said, "I'll come back to Test cricket when I feel it's the right time to play".
