However, the 26-years-old is currently in a great form and scoring runs for fun in the ongoing Vijay Hazare Trophy 2022 for Tamil Nadu. He scripted history today as he went on to score a double hundred, 277 runs from 141 balls to be precise.

With that, he also surpassed fellow Indian Rohit Sharma to become the highest individual run scorer in List-A cricket, that includes International and Domestic 50 overs game in all countries. This is also his 5th consecutive hundred in the tournament and overtook the likes of Virat Kohli, Ruturaj Gaikwad to topple them.

After his outrageous performance today, the Indian fans are now thinking big of him and many even rating him higher than Rohit Sharma at the moment, while many even mocked CSK for releasing him without giving him proper opportunity.
