New Zealand cricket team’s captain Kane Williamson’s approach in the T20 cricket has been under the radar a lot of times as Williamson does not bat at a strike rate than a fan or the team desires from their batsman in the shortest format of the game.
While Kane Williamson continue to score runs in all forms of the game, the 32-years-old conservative approach in the 20 overs game has met with lot of criticism.
His approach was in display again in the 2nd match of the 3 match T20I series against India. Although Williamson scored 61 runs in the match, he took a total of 52 balls to reach the mark.
Meanwhile, Indian team wicketkeeper batsman Dinesh Karthik has come out and said that Kane Williamson needs to play with more intent in T20 cricket. However, he comments have been met with negative remarks after he himself didn’t had a good T20 World Cup 2022.
Dinesh Karthik said, "Kane Williamson needs to display more intent, especially while it's a chase".
