After not getting an opportunity in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 team, Indian cricket team’s one of most important member Cheteshwar Pujara decided to visit England to play the County Championship 2022 season.
Pujara signed-up for the County Championship division two club Sussex, partnering fellow Mohammad Rizwan from Pakistan in the squad.
Pujara has so far been in great form in the competition, having scored already 3 hundred in the previous matches, and is currently batting at 125 runs not out in the match against Middlesex.
But, what was more interesting about this match was, the face-off between Pakistan’s current best bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi and India’s wall that has been Pujara.
And so far in the match, Pujara has given no opportunity to Shaheen to show his talent, but it is instead him who has completed his 4th century in the County Championship 2022.
Twitterati were pretty excited to see the duo face-off. While Pujara failed in the first inning, he made a pretty solid comeback to have scored 125 runs not out at the end of the Day 3’s play.
