Australia’s premier T20 league, the Big Bash League (BBL) has begun and today was the 3rd match of the season between Melbourne Renegades and Brisbane Heat.
The Big Bash League is the 2nd best T20 league in the world after the Indian Premier League (IPL). Meanwhile, during the match today, an unnatural activity was observed during the match.
It happened during the 9th over of Melbourne Renegades’ inning when Nic Maddison played a pull shot and it seemed he had hit the stumps in the process and thought of hit-wicket.
However, replay footages showed that the bails just came off unnaturally with no connection with the ball or the batsman. The footage was reviewed and the batsman was eventually given not out.
However, many believes that it was the gusty wind that caused that to happen. Twitterati meanwhile made fun out of it, pointing out that YouTube thumbnails are now becoming a reality.
What on earth???
Looks like the wind's knocked the bail off! Maddinson stays safe 😅@KFCAustralia #BucketMoment #BBL12 pic.twitter.com/sboxGvIewA— KFC Big Bash League (@BBL) December 15, 2022Advertisement

And in Bangladesh series, the bails didn't fall even after ball hits the wicket.

Sometimes ball touches the stump and the bails do not fall and sometimes a gust of wind makes it fall.😆😆 https://t.co/zBuqd3O77i
