The 3rd day of the ongoing 2nd Test match of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy is currently ongoing between Indian cricket team and Australia cricket team in Delhi.
Batting first, Australia scored 263 runs and were all-out on Day 1 itself. The Indian top-order and middle-order was completely dismantled on day 2.
But it was once again the lower-order, particularly Ravichandran Ashwin and Axar Patel who saved the day for India as they were all out for 262 runs, 1 run less than Australia’s first inning total.
Australia is currently batting in their 2nd inning. The day 3’s play has been fantastic for the Indian team, particularly, Ashwin, who took 2 wickets in the first hour.
Among his two wickets includes the wicket of Steve Smith. After all that drama that Australia have hired Mahesh Pithiya, a local player who has the same bowling action as Ashwin, but still Ashwin got the wicket of Smith on both the inning in the match.
After Ashwin dismissed Steve Smith again, Twitterati mocked the Australian team.
