“Deserves to be on the Honours Board” – Twitter reacts as Tom Blundell misses out on an iconic Hundred at Lord’s

Cricket action continues in England as home team and New Zealand cricket team is producing a classic match at the Lord’s cricket ground in London.

After dismissing England for 141 runs in their first inning, New Zealand looked in danger of getting dismissed for even less than 100 runs. But, Daryl Mitchell and Tom Blundell saved the collapse as the went back to pavilion for the score of 236 runs at the end of Day 2’s play.

And as the Day 3’s play began, it has been England once again, starting off with Stuart Broad dismantling the partnership between Mitchell and Blundell, dismissing the former for 108 runs.

Had it not for Daryl Mitchell and Tom Blundell, New Zealand could have been in deep deep trouble on the Day 2’s play itself. But the way the duo played, the saved a massive disaster for their team.

And even Mitchell completed his well deserved century, it is unfortunate for his partner to miss out on it. Even Twitterati felt the blow that Blundell felt.
