New Zealand and India lost to Pakistan and England in the semi-finals of the T20 World Cup 2022. They were scheduled to play the 1st of the 3 match T20I series beginning from today.
However, constant rain has meant that the match between India and New Zealand in Wellington has been called off.
While the fans are not happy to have been deprived of an exciting match, they have still found out positives in that. One fan even mentioned that MS Dhoni’s first match as captain was also washed off. However, note that this was not Hardik Pandya’s first match as captain as he lead the team in the series against Ireland earlier.
