“Lord Rinku and Lord Thakur in the same team” – Twitter reacts as Kolkata Knight Riders signs Shardul Thakur from Delhi Capitals ahead of IPL 2023

Each and every Indian Premier League (IPL) team has been given a deadline of 15th of November to submit a list of players who have been retained for IPL 2023 ahead of IPL Auction.

Meanwhile, while we wait for the IPL 2023 Player Auction to be held in December, there is a transfer window currently on for the teams to grab the players they want.

And it seems like that Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) is making most of it. The Bollywood megastar Shah Rukh Khan owned franchise has traded in former hero Lockie Ferguson, Rahmanullah Gurbaz and the latest addition to the list is India all-rounder Shardul Thakur.

Thakur, who was bought for a huge sum of 10.75 crores by Delhi Capitals, took a total of 15 wickets in 14 matches for the Delhi based team.

There were rumour on the social media that there were a number of teams who wanted him, especially his former team Chennai Super Kings (CSK). However, the right-arm pacer will be joining the Knight Riders instead.

Meanwhile, the CSK fans think that Shardul Thakur, who was given the nickname of Lord by the CSK fans, betrayed the team by not joining them.
