New Zealand cricket team captain Kane Williamson is one of those class batsman who are a pretty good addition in the ODI and Test team. His class batting has made many his fans, but his performance in the shortest format has just only earn him criticism.
Kane Williamson is currently leading the Kiwis in the ongoing T20 World Cup 2022. While New Zealand have been doing well overall, it is their captain Kane Williamson who has been underperforming.
While Williamson has scored good chunk of runs, but his strike rate in all his has been near 100 to 110. Many fans believe that it is better for Kane and New Zealand that the former retire from the format.
However, New Zealand’s wicketkeeper batsman Glenn Phillips, who has been in tremendous form in this World Cup, has backed Kane Williamson and stated that he is a kind of player who can score 50 runs in 20 balls.
However, the fans still seems unsatisfied with Williamson’s performance in the shortest format of the game.
