Hosts Australia and England cricket team engaged in a quality cricket action last night when the Aussies got the better of the new 2022 T20 World Champions England in the ODI format of the series.
After an exciting T20 World Cup 2022, the focus now shifts to India 2023 as the Men in Blue are set to host the next big event of the cricketing world, the Cricket World Cup 2023.
And prior to that, the 2021 T20 World Champions and 2022 T20 World Champions engaged into some quality cricket at the Adelaide Oval yesterday in the fifty over format.
Batting first in the match, England batter Dawid Malan rescued the team from a collapse from being once 4 wickets down for 66 runs. His knock of 134 runs guided England to 287 runs for the loss of 9 wickets.
However, Australia’s batting in the end proved too good for England bowling as the Aussies won the match by 6 wickets.
The match was filled with great moments and one of those was when Australian fielder Ashton Agar took a flight over the boundary rope to save a sureshot with his brilliant fielding effort.
However, England fan group Barmy Army instead of praising him for that, he instead called it a drop catch, even though it was almost impossible to pull off the catch.
Following Barmy Army sharing that, the fans took a dig on the Barmy Army for not crediting him for his brilliant piece of fielding.
