Indian cricket team suffered a big defeat in the 2nd ODI of the 3 match series between Team India and the England cricket team at the iconic Lord’s as England handed India a defeat by 100 runs.
Batting first, England batters struggled to take on the Indian pacers but still somehow managed to post a total of 246 runs on the board with Moeen Ali and David Willey the only two to score more than 40 individual run each.
However, Team India’s start was really terrible as they lost 4 wickets for 31 runs. Rohit Sharma and Rishabh Pant were dismissed for duck while Dhawan and Kohli scored 9 and 16 runs respectively.
Indian batters had no answer to the line and length of England bowler Reece Topley, who took 6 wickets for 24 runs his 9.2 over as India lost the match by 100 runs. With that, the series is also now level on 1-1 with the final match on 17th July to be the decider.
With that, the out-of-form Virat Kohli once again received criticism from throughout, some even demanding for the batsman to be dropped from the Playing XI. In such scenario, the Pakistan team Babar Azam has stood by the former India captain and posted a tweet in support of the cricketer, calling that the bad phase will pass by soon.
This gesture from the Pakistan captain melt everyone’s heart as Twitterati praised Babar for standing up for Virat Kohli.
