Punjab Kings recorded a brilliant last over thriller victory over the hosts Mumbai Indians in the match number 30 of the Indian Premier League (IPL).
Batting first, Punjab Kings scored 214 runs in their 20 overs. The team had lost 4 wickets for 83 runs before captain Sam Curran and Harpreet Singh Bhatia formed a good partnership for the 5th wicket.
However, the real work was done by Curran and Jitesh Sharma. While the former scored 55 runs in 29 balls, the latter scored 25 runs in 7 balls.
Chasing the total, Ishan Kishan departed early. Captain Rohit Sharma also departed after adding little more runs, missing out on a fifty. But Cameron Green and Suryakumar Yadav played important inning as the former scored 67 runs in 43 balls while the latter smashed 26 balls 57 runs.
However, after Suryakumar departed, other Mumbai batters failed to chase the target and eventually lost the match in the last over where they lost 2 crucial wickets.
