If Sunil Gavaskar is to be believed, then Tilak Verma can become India’s all-format batsman in the coming times. At the same time, he also said that Tilak has all the techniques that can make him a great batsman.

Sunil Gavaskar was quoted as saying by Indian Express that when Rohit Sharma said that Tilak can become an all-format player for India, he is all right about that. He further added that Tilak has all that is needed, he just need to put in extra hard work and he will prove Rohit Sharma right.

“Rohit Sharma rightly mentioned that he could be an all-format player for India. So now it’s up to him to work that little bit extra, get his fitness going, get a little tighter as far as the technique is concerned and prove Rohit right,” said the little master.

He further said Tilak is technically good and all his basics are right and hoped that Tilak takes that next step in his career.

Tilak Verma played an unbeaten innings of 34 off 32 balls against Chennai Super Kings (CSK), which helped Mumbai register a 5-wicket win over Chennai. Tilak has scored 376 runs from 13 matches. He also has 2 fifties to his name this year and Mumbai would like him to continue his form in the last of the campaign as well.
