Strong playing XI comprising support staff members of 2021 T20 WC teams

There are 16 teams in the ICC T20 WC 2021. The UAE and Oman are co-hosting the 2021 edition of the mega event. Initially, India was scheduled to host the ICC T20 World Cup. However, keeping the COVID-19 pandemic in mind, the BCCI shifted the tournament from India to the Middle East.

Fans have witnessed great competition between the T20 WC teams. There are some big names present in the coaching staff of the T20 WC teams. In this article today, we will form a strong playing XI consisting of the support staff members of various teams.

Openers – Matthew Hayden and Justin Langer

Former Australian left-handed openers Matthew Hayden and Justin Langer will open the innings for this elite team. Both openers are currently coaching top-tier T20 WC teams. Hayden is the batting coach of the Pakistan cricket team, while Langer coaches Team Australia.

Middle Order – MS Dhoni (c and wk), Ashwell Prince and Mark Boucher

Indian cricket team’s mentor MS Dhoni will bat in the middle order along with Mark Boucher, who is the coach of the South African cricket team. Both Dhoni and Boucher achieved great success as wicket-keeper batters during their time as international cricketers. Another South African featuring in this team is Ashwell Prince who is with the Bangladeshi team.

All Rounders – Ravi Shastri, Albie Morkel, Lance Klusener and Vernon Philander

Four all-rounders are currently having coaching roles in the ICC T20 WC teams, and three of them are from South Africa. Ravi Shastri is the head coach of the Indian cricket team. Albie Morkel is with Team Namibia, and Lance Klusener is the coach of the Afghanistan team. Vernon Philander is the bowling coach of the Pakistan cricket team.

Bowlers – Saqlain Mushtaq and Shaun Tait

Interim head coach of the Pakistan cricket team Saqlain Mushtaq will lead the spin-bowling attack of this team. Former Australian speedster Shaun Tait completes the lineup. Tait is a part of the coaching staff of the Afghanistan cricket team.
