Sister Malti reacts to Deepak Chahar’s fantastic performance vs. MI

Deepak Chahar bowled a phenomenal spell of 2/19 and helped the Chennai Super Kings record a 20-run win against the Mumbai Indians in the 30th match of the 2021 edition of the Indian Premier League. While it was the 30th game of the season, it was the opening fixture of the second phase of the 2021 edition of the Indian Premier League, with the Dubai International Cricket Stadium playing host to the El Clasico of IPL.

Many fans believed that the Mumbai Indians are the favorites to win the game because in the last two matches between these two franchises, the Mumbai-based team had emerged victorious. They had defeated the Chennai Super Kings by ten wickets in Sharjah and then beat them in a high-scoring thriller played at Delhi’s Arun Jaitley Stadium earlier this year.

The Mumbai Indians started the match with some fantastic bowling in the powerplay overs. The duo of Trent Boult and Adam Milne gave a tough time to all the Chennai Super Kings’ top-order batsmen. Ruturaj Gaikwad’s excellent knock of 88 runs helped the Chennai Super Kings score a 156-run total in the first innings.

The Mumbai Indians struggled to get going as well. Except Saurabh Tiwary, none of the batsmen of the Mumbai Indians team could even score 20 runs against the Chennai Super Kings. CSK pacer Deepak Chahar bowled a tidy spell of 2/19. He dismissed both the opening batsmen of the Mumbai Indians team – Anmolpreet Singh and Quinton de Kock.

Chahar’s sister Malti was impressed with his bowling performance, especially the way he delivered the knuckle ball. She posted a special Instagram story on her account, which has been going viral now. You can see the screenshot of the same right here:
