This year, the Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings have been the most disappointing one in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 Season.
Where both these teams have won the title the most times and are the most successful teams in the League’s history, but this year, both the teams are hanging at bottom of the IPL 2022 points table.
Meanwhile, cricket experts are constantly making rhetoric about the Mumbai Indian franchise, and now, another name has been added to the list who have come out and has targeted at the Mumbai based team.
Ever since Rohit Sharma became the captain of Team India, the Indian team was winning continuously, after which the fans expected that the magic of Hitman’s captaincy would be seen in the IPL as well.
But the team has not yet been able to open the account of victory, where in this season the Mumbai team has played a total of 5 matches and the team has to face defeat in all these matches. In such a situation, questions are being raised on the planning of the team and the captain is also being targeted.
Delhi Capitals assistant coach Shane Watson raised questions on the Mumbai’s tactics in the IPL 2022 Mega Auction, stating that they took wrong decisions in the Mega Auction and also added that he would be surprised if Mumbai finish bottom of the table at the end of IPL 2022.
He also mentioned about them going for Ishan Kishan and Jofra Archer. He stated that Kishan is a good player, but spending so money on him was not worth it. He said that going for Jofra Archer without knowing his comeback was a wrong decision.
On the other hand, Mumbai Indians will face off the Lucknow Super Giants in today’s IPL match, where they would like to open their account. But, the Lucknow team under the captaincy of KL Rahul is looking in great form and it will not be easy for Mumbai to win this match, who currently stands at the bottom with 5 losses in 5 matches.
