“This is the start of a beautiful journey” – Sachin Tendulkar posts heartfelt message for Arjun Tendulkar after his long awaited IPL debut for Mumbai Indians vs KKR

Following a decade-long break, the audience at Wankhede Stadium witnessed a Tendulkar playing for the Mumbai Indians again. Sachin Tendulkar is considered one of the most significant names in international cricket and is undeniably the most celebrated player in Mumbai’s cricketing history.

In 2013, he last played for the Mumbai Indians, the same year the team claimed their first of five IPL trophies. Recently, Sachin’s son, Arjun Tendulkar, made his debut for the Mumbai Indians on the same ground where his father scored his last international runs, after nearly ten years.

The Tendulkar duo’s historic moment, as the first father-son pair to play in the IPL, is undoubtedly an iconic moment. Even the fearless master blaster, Sachin Tendulkar, would have been overwhelmed by this turn of events. Sachin shared his emotions on Twitter and wished Arjun the best for his future endeavors.

Sachin was confident that Arjun would persevere and work hard to achieve his goals. He concluded his two-tweet thread by sending his best wishes to Arjun for his future endeavors.

Sachin wrote a heartfelt message to his son, Arjun, acknowledging that his IPL debut marked another significant milestone in his cricketing journey. He expressed his confidence in Arjun’s ability to continue treating the game with respect and earn its love in return.

“Arjun, today you have taken another important step in your journey as a cricketer. As your father, someone who loves you and is passionate about the game, I know you will continue to give the game the respect it deserves and the game will love you back,” tweeted Sachin.

Sachin also praised Arjun’s hard work and determination, stating that he was certain that Arjun would keep working hard towards his goals. Sachin ended his message by wishing Arjun the best for his future and acknowledging that this was just the beginning of a beautiful journey.

“You have worked very hard to reach here, and I am sure you will continue to do so. This is the start of a beautiful journey. All the best,” he signed off.

During his IPL debut for Mumbai Indians, Arjun took up the responsibility of opening the bowling and immediately made an impact. He made good use of the grassy pitch to generate movement with the new ball, and as a result, caused problems for the Kolkata Knight Riders’ openers. Arjun’s first over was highly impressive, as he only conceded four runs and troubled both N Jagadeesan and Rahmanullah Gurbaz with his bowling.

Despite a promising start, Arjun’s second over was a bit expensive as Venkatesh Iyer hit him for a boundary and a maximum. Arjun gave away 13 runs in that over, which affected his economy rate, bringing it up to 8.5. Unfortunately, Arjun was unable to pick up any wickets in his debut game. Although the other Mumbai Indians bowlers were quite expensive, the stand-in captain, Suryakumar Yadav, did not give Arjun more overs to bowl.
