After being made to sit the whole T20 World Cup 2022 almost, making a comeback in the last Super 12 round match. There was still question mark whether he would play in the semi-final or not.
However at toss, Rohit Sharma confirmed that Pant was playing. However, Indian team did not do well at first in the match. But then, Virat Kohli and Hardik Pandya played crucial knock.
Pant got the opportunity to bat in the last 3 overs of the match. While he got off to a great start, but then he had to sacrifice his wicket in the last over so that the man in form Hardik Pandya can have the strike rate.
After he got run out, he gave a thumbs up to Hardik. This gesture from Rishabh Pant won everyone’s heart.
Very small thing but worth noting . He came when very few balls are left. Still a very selfless attitude. Knew hardik has better chance of hitting. I would prefer anyday player like him who plays for the team.
