“Going to be an exciting finish tomorrow” – Ravichandran Ashwin praises Babar Azam’s heroic Hundred vs Australia in 2nd Test

After his heroic and fighting knock of 102 runs from 197 balls, Pakistan cricket team’s skipper Babar Azam has received praise from all around, including from the neighbour country’s Ravichandran Ashwin.

The 2nd Test match between Pakistan and Australia currently hangs in balance as the shifts towards any team with the last day of play remaining. Both teams still has a chance to win the match, or either draw it, but all eyes will be on Pakistan team’s captain Babar Azam, who making sure Pakistan stay alive in the contest.

After opting to bat first in the first inning, Australia put on a massive score on the scoreboard as Australia amassed a massive 556 runs for the loss of 9 wickets. Usman Khawaja scored a century while Alex Carey missed one.

Pakistan then had a blunder in their 1st inning as the Aussie pacers ran havoc on the Azam led side as Pakistan got all-out for 148 runs.

As the day’s were running by very quickly, Australia decided to not continue their 2nd inning for long as they declared their inning for just 97 runs. In chase of a massive 506 runs in one and a half day, Pakistan fought hard, thanks to their captain Babar Azam, who remained not out after scoring 102 runs at the end of Day 4’s play.

After his heroic inning, Babar Azam has received a lot of from praise. Indian team’s spin bowler Ravichandran Ashwin also took some time out to praise the Pakistani batting star’s performance.

Taking to his official Twitter handle, Ravichandran Ashwin posted “Babar Azam đź‘Źđź‘Ź, going to be an exciting finish tomorrow.”

With only 1 day’s play remaining in the 2nd out of the 3 match Test series, Pakistan still needs 314 runs to win the match on the last day.
