Ravichandran Ashwin picks Royal Challengers Bangalore’s Playing XI for IPL 2023; makes some big decisions

In a short video uploaded on his YouTube channel, Ashwin picked Faf du Plessis and Virat Kohli as the opening duo for the tournament. He added that Rajat Patidar and Glenn Maxwell should play at number 3 and 4 respectively while also all-rounder Shahbaz Ahmed should bat at number 5.

He also insisted Dinesh Karthik, who had a great season last time, should continue to bat at number 6 and continue to play the role of a finisher.

He also picked the spin duo of Mahipal Lomror and Wanindu Hasaranga as the spin bowling duo and added Josh Hazlewood, Mohammed Siraj and Akash Deep as the pace bowling trio in the Playing XI.
