“Ran away from Delhi Cricket…..”- Gautam Gambhir tears apart Rajat Sharma after his “jealous of Virat Kohli” remark

The game between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Lucknow Super Kings at the Ekana Stadium on Monday saw an ugly spat between Virat Kohli and Gautam Gambhir, which led to a heated exchange between the two individuals. The BCCI also fined 100 percent of the match fees for both.

It caught the attention of the world. Many former cricketers and analysts opined on the altercation. Notably, renowned anchor Rajat Sharma also reacted to the incident and targeted BJP MP Gambhir. Both of these cricketers were also involved in the same kind of incident 10 years ago, in the 2013 season.

Notably, Gambhir made a “finger on the lips” gesture toward the RCB crowd in the last game between the two teams in Bangalore. Virat also answered in his own way after taking a couple catches in Lucknow.

The incident after the game didn’t go well, and it involved two high-profile Indian cricketers.INDIA TV news anchor Rajat Sharma took a dig at Gambhir and said that the southpaw is jealous of the fame and success earned by Virat Kohli, which is why he has been ill-mannered during the war of words. He also said that Gambhir’s actions were against the spirit of the game.

And now, the former Indian opener has responded to the allegations made by the news anchor. Gambhir took to Twitter and hit back at the senior journalist and tweeted, “Man who ran away from Delhi Cricket citing “pressure” seems over eager to sell paid PR as concern for cricket!”

Notably, the senior journalist was the President of the Delhi and District Cricket Association (DDCA) but resigned because of pressure. LSG lost the game against RCB by 18 runs. Lucknow faced Chennai Super Kings in their next game on Wednesday. It ended without a result due to rain, and both teams shared a point each.
