The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) newly appointed chief and former cricketer in himself Ramiz Raja has proposed a plan for a “Super Series” including the four of the top ICC Members and Teams, including India.
Ever since becoming the new Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chief, Ramiz Raja is trying to connect all the knots and trying his best for future India vs Pakistan Bilateral series.
The political reason between both the countries have hurt the Bilateral series, as India and Pakistan last played a Bilateral series way back in 2012, and now only meets multi-team tournaments, whether it is the Asia Cup or the World Cup.
Ever since becoming the new PCB chief, former Pakistan cricketer Ramiz Raja trying to his best to make sure that India vs Pakistan Bilateral series is possible. And in an attempt to do so, he has proposed a new “Super Series” idea.
Taking to his official Twitter account, the PCB chief stated that he will propose a four nation T20I Super Series to International Cricket Council (ICC), involving Pakistan, India, Australia and England, to be played every year, with every team of the four hosting the series on rotational basis.

He also added that a separate revenue model will be introduced and profits will be shared on percentage basis with all other ICC members.
It is now to be seen as how will the International Cricket Council (ICC), the global governing body of cricket will react to it. And if the plan does turns into a reality, it will for sure be a treat to watch for the cricket fans across the world, especially India and Pakistan.
Sourav Ganguly had also proposed Four Nation Super Series
The current President of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), Sourav Ganguly had also once stated about a four nation series, bringing the four best team to play against each other. However, at that time, Pakistan was not in the plan.
According to sources from then, Ganguly went to England to discuss about the series, involving England and Australia alongside India. However, the 4th team was not confirmed, but New Zealand were the front runner.
But, the COVID-19 pandemic completely spoiled the idea and we are yet to any development on that. Now it will be interesting to see how BCCI will react to Ramiz Raja’s plan.
