Just like the previous couple of matches of the IPL 2023, the match between Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals also went to the wires and it was eventually won by the visiting team.
The 17th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 was played between the hosts Chennai Super Kings and the table topper Rajasthan Royals.
Batting first, Rajasthan Royals scored 175 runs in their 20 overs. CSK progressed their inning well, however, they kept on losing wickets in regular intervals. At one moment, they were completely out of the match before MS Dhoni hit the ground, took some time and then hit hard on the Rajasthan bowlers.
MS Dhoni and Jadeja looked in great touch and took CSK close to victory with their brilliant batting, however, in the end, it was the last 2 balls of the final over of Sandeep Sharma that Rajasthan won the match.
Needing 21 runs in the final over, Sandeep gave 2 wides while Dhoni struck him for 2 big Sixes. But in the last 3 balls, Sandeep Sharma came back well and gave away just 3 runs.
The hero of Rajasthan Royals – Sandeep Sharma.

When 54 were needed of the last 3 over, barely anyone keeps their hopes high with 6 wickets down.
