Former India head coach Ravi Shastri had suggested him to take rest from IPL 2022 season. And after the former head coach, now another veteran has advised him to take rest. Former Indian cricket team’s chief selector MSK Prasad has said that Virat Kohli needs a break.
Virat Kohli has been struggling with poor form for quite some time now. After international matches, now he is continuously flopped in IPL 2022 as well. Even if he plays a big innings in a match, his strike rate remains very low.
The Virat Kohli that the world knows is no longer able to bat like that at all. This is the reason why a lot of reactions are coming about them.
According to MSK Prasad, Virat Kohli should take rest from IPL so that he is completely refreshed for the Asia Cup to come later this year. Talking to PTI, he said that he also wants Virat Kohli to take a break and refresh himself going into the Asia Cup 2022.
“Yes, I want Virat to take a significant break and before the Asia Cup, he should be fresh, up and running,” said the former Indian cricket team selector.
Let us tell you that earlier Ravi Shastri had said that Virat Kohli should take a break from IPL. He had said that if Kohli wants to prolong his international career, then he should immediately withdraw his name from the IPL.
Ravi Shastri said that sometimes you have to create balance in your career and that this year he is been playing IPL but if he want to prolong his career and play for 6-7 years, then must withdraw from IPL 2022 season.
