Watch: Bad News for CSK Fans; MS Dhoni limping badly during a practice match ahead of KKR Clash

The four-time champion Chennai Super Kings have made some good performances throughout the ongoing tournament. As a result, they are sitting in second place with 15 points in 12 games and need just one more to qualify for the playoffs.

MS Dhoni and his men will be back in action on Sunday evening and will host the Kolkata Knight Riders at Chepauk Stadium. It will be the second match for both teams this season; earlier, CSK won the last encounter between the two. On the other hand, KKR needs this win to stay alive in the competition.

It is the last group game for CSK at home, and many believe that it will be the last time they will be watching MS Dhoni bat at the home ground. The biggest talking point of the season is whether MS will continue or if it will be the last season.

Well, only the CSK skipper knows this, but fans have been treated to some incredible cameos from MSD in 2023. But the CSK captain is suffering from a knee injury at the moment. It was also visible on the eve of the game ahead of the KKR clash when Thala was involved in a practice game.

A CSK fan shared a video showing MS Dhoni struggling to run between the wickets. In the clip, MS was visibly limping around. In the same video, the fan attached an image of the quarterfinal against Australia in the T20 World Cup, where Dhoni was running at a speed of 31 km/h.

Earlier, CSK head coach Stephen Fleming confirmed that Dhoni was nursing any injury during the game against Rajasthan Royal, which CSK lost by 3 runs. This is also one of the reasons that Dhoni is taking only a limited roll and coming down the order to bat when only a few deliveries are there to play, but he is playing that role incredibly well and has had some sixes in the end.
