Watch: RCB’s star bowler Mohammed Siraj abuses teammate Mahipal Lomror due to inaccurate throw, apologizes later

In the thrilling match between Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Rajasthan Royals (RR), it was observed that RCB’s fast bowler Mohammed Siraj used offensive language directed towards Mahipal Lomror, his teammate, following a missed run-out opportunity.

During the second-last over of the Royals’ innings at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, tensions rose as they edged closer to their target. The commotion began when Dhruv Jurel struck a short delivery from Siraj and completed a single. Ravichandran Ashwin, who was on the other end, then attempted a double.

Lomror managed to retrieve the ball quickly, but his throw to Siraj was not accurate, causing Siraj to accidentally kick over the stumps. Siraj expressed his disappointment with Lomror’s throw and resorted to using offensive language towards him. Despite this, Lomror maintained his composure and resumed his fielding position for the final over.

Siraj recently revealed in a match review video posted on RCB’s official YouTube channel that he had offered an apology to Lomror for his conduct during the match.

“I am so angry, man. Sorry. I have apologized to him twice already. I don’t carry the aggression off the field. It all calms down post the match,” Siraj said.

Lomror exhibited sportsmanship by graciously accepting Siraj’s apology and acknowledging that such incidents are not uncommon during matches. He stated, “It’s okay, Siraj bhai. These kinds of small things happen in big matches.”

RCB emerged victorious in the match, defeating RR by a margin of seven runs. Bangalore had batted first and scored a total of 189/9, largely due to outstanding performances from Glenn Maxwell (77 off 44) and Faf du Plessis (62 off 39). RR fought back valiantly but could only manage to score 182/6 in their pursuit of the target.
