Pakistan cricket team’s wicketkeeper batsman Mohammed Rizwan has made a bold statement and has claimed that the Pakistan’s Pakistan Super League (PSL) is a better T20 league than the Indian Premier League (IPL).
Pakistan and India are two greatly cricket loving countries, who have a huge number of supporters and is very successful in the game too.
Both the country have their respective T20 league. India has Indian Premier League (IPL) and Pakistan has Pakistan Super League (PSL). IPL is the most successful and richest T20 cricket league in the world and no league has been able to come close to it.
However, Pakistan cricket team’s wicketkeeper batsman Mohammed Rizwan has a different opinion. The right-hand batsman thinks that the PSL is a better league than the IPL.
While speaking to Sports Paktv, Rizwan said, “We used to say there is IPL, now if you ask players who go back after playing here, wo keh rahe ki duniya ki sabse tough league jo hai wo hai Pakistan ki hai kyunki isme koi agar reserve player bhi hota hai to internationally bahar baitha hua hota hai bench pe. (They are saying that Pakistan has the toughest league in the world because even our reserve players sit on the bench).”
Note that Rizwan is the captain of the PSL side Multan Sultans and lead the team to win the Trophy in 2021. While PSL produces some quality cricket, it is still far off from matching the value of the IPL.
