Mitchell Marsh leaves Australia camp to link-up with Delhi Capitals for IPL 2022

Australia’s injured all-rounder Mitchell Marsh, who has already been ruled out of white-ball series against Pakistan, has given a ray of hope to his Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise Delhi Capitals, as he is set to link up with the franchise and will continue his rehabilitation with franchise.

Australia’s T20 World Cup 2021 hero Mitchell Marsh has been ruled out of the ongoing limited overs white-ball series against Pakistan due to a hip injury that he sustained during practice session.

There was question mark over the all-rounder’s participation in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 too. He was bought by the Delhi Capitals in the IPL 2022 Mega Auction held earlier in February in Bangalore.

The all-rounder was already missing from Australia’s squad for the 1st ODI match yesterday and an official press release from Cricket Australia (CA) confirmed that Mitchell Marsh will now travel to India straightaway to link-up with the Delhi Capitals for IPL 2022 and will continue his rehabilitation there under the guidance of Pat Ferhart.

Mitchell Marsh is Australia’s one of the most important player and played a very vital role in the 2021 T20 World Cup, especially in the final of the tournament against New Zealand, which guided Australia to their first ever T20 World Cup glory.

Australia has already got the lead over Pakistan in the One Day International (ODI) series having won the 1st ODI in Lahore. And as for Delhi Capitals, they have also got off to a great start in the IPL 2022, beating the 5-time IPL champions Mumbai Indians in their opening match of the season.
