In the current season of the Indian Premier League (IPL), KL Rahul has been performing well, scoring a significant number of runs. However, his slow strike rate has attracted criticism from both fans and pundits alike.

On Wednesday, in the IPL’s 26th match held at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur, KL Rahul once again displayed a cautious approach while batting in the match between Rajasthan Royals (RR) and Lucknow Super Giants (LSG).

According to fans on social media, Kevin Pietersen expressed his annoyance on air during the commentary, criticizing KL Rahul’s lack of aggression with the bat and allegedly stating that “Watching KL Rahul bat is the most boring thing I have ever been through.”

Jason Holder eventually dismissed KL Rahul, with Jos Buttler completing the catch, after the Lucknow Super Giants captain scored 39 runs from 32 balls.

Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) eventually scored 154 runs in their 20 overs thanks to some hitting from the lower order batters Nicholas Pooran and Marcus Stoinis. Kyle Mayers also scored a fifty while opening but he also played 42 balls to score 51 runs. Rajasthan Royals need 155 runs to win the match.
