The Indian cricket team did not get off to a good start in the first innings of the Kennington Oval Test match against the England cricket team. It seemed like the England cricket team would bowl the Indian cricket team out for below 150 runs. However, a fantastic half-century from Shardul Thakur helped the Indian cricket team post a total of 191 runs on the board in the first innings.

In reply, the England cricket team took a 99-run first-innings lead after Ollie Pope and Chris Woakes’ half-centuries helped them reach 290 runs in their first innings. The Indian cricket team fought back well in the second innings with Rohit Sharma registering his first-ever Test century outside India. Shardul Thakur scored his second half-century in the Kennington Oval Test match as the Indian cricket team scored 466 runs in the second innings in London.

Old tweet of Rohit Sharma about Shardul Thakur

Rohit Sharma and Shardul Thakur were the heroes for the Indian cricket team in the second innings against the England cricket team at the Kennington Oval. Soon after, the fans of the Indian cricket team found an old tweet of Rohit Sharma about Shardul which reads as follows:

“Many happy returns of the day buddy. Only the second player to wear the jersey. It takes guts to don that number but clearly you’re the best example of Impossible Is Nothing.”

Sharma seemingly trolled Thakur as he was wearing the number 10 jersey after the great Sachin Tendulkar.
