Cricket as we know is mostly played between International during the year with number of matches consisting of different format of the game such Test, ODI and T20I.
But in the modern day, cricket is taking a drastic change in terms of how it will be played. In the modern day of the game, more and more T20 cricket leagues are emerging after the success of the Indian Premier League (IPL).
IPL, organised by India, is the biggest T20 cricket league in the world and also considered as one of the biggest sporting league in the world competing with the likes of National Football League (NFL), English Premier League (EPL) to name a few.
South Africa’s SA20 and UAE International League T20 (ILT20) are the latest to join in the number of T20 cricket league being played around the world. Meanwhile, IPL is also planning to extend its number of matches in the future edition.
The IPL Chairman has recently confirmed that the number of matches will be increased upto 94 matches by the year 2026 or 2027. In such scenario, while many fans are excited with more T20 league action, some fans are worried that the face of the game is changing and it is going football’s route.
