Indian fast bowler Mohammed Siraj has made a name for himself in a very short span of time. However, like most players, Siraj also entered the Indian setup through the Indian Premier League (IPL).
Siraj was first bought by Sunrisers Hyderabad in the year 2017, but Royal Challengers Bangalore placed a bet on him in the IPL 2018 auction.
Since then Siraj has been a part of the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) franchise in the IPL and he often gives all the credit for his success to the IPL itself.
Mohammed Siraj reveals the first thing he bought after being picked in IPL Auction
In a recent podcast released by the Bangalore franchise itself, Mohammed Siraj has revealed how IPL changed his life. During this, Siraj also revealed what was the first thing he bought after getting selected in the IPL.
Siraj revealed that the first thing that he bought from his Indian Premeir League (IPL) money is a iPhone 7 plus and a second-hand car, as before he used to have a Platina bike. “First thing I bought was iPhone 7 Plus, then bought a second-hand car, Corolla” said Mohammed Siraj.
He further added that he did not know how to drive a car and that’s why he asked his uncle’s son to drive the car as he knew how to drive a car.
He also added that his second-hand car, Corolla didn’t had an air conditioning machine in the car and thus use to keep windows open and the fans outside would use to wave at him and chant his name. He added that the next year he bought a Mercedes.
Certainly the Indian Premier League has changed lives of many. Some unknown players have through this stage and has went on to represent Team India, and Mohammed Siraj is one of them. The prolific pacer has been retained by the franchise before the IPL 2022 Mega Auction.
