The match number 19 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 went in favour of the visiting Sunrisers Hyderabad team thanks to a brilliant century by their English hard-hitting batsman Harry Brook.

Harry Brook comes into the Indian Premier League (IPL) with a huge reputation alongside his name as well as a huge price tag.

Sunrisers Hyderabad bought the Englishman for a fee of 13.25 crore in the IPL 2023 Auction. However, his performance in the first 3 matches were nothing compare to his price.

But he came to Eden Gardens with intent to score big runs. And he did so when he scored a fabulous 100 runs of 55 balls. Throughout his inning, he was brilliant against the pacers while he was struggling a bit against the spinners.

However, in the end, his century played a huge role in helping his team to win the match. While the fans were making fun of him after his performance in the 3 matches, they did praise the batter for his performance today.

However, Brook has hurt the sentiment of the Indian cricket fans with statement during the post-match ceremony.

While speaking in the post-match ceremony, he said that many fans might praise him for his performance but they were the ones who were slagging him and that he is happy to shut their mouth.

“There are a lot of Indian fans out there who’ll say well done tonight. But they were slagging me off a few days ago. Glad I could shut them up,” said today’s match’s hero Harry Brook.
