The 15th edition of the Indian Premier League will kick off on March 26. The defending champions, Chennai Super Kings, will lock horns with the two-time champions, Kolkata Knight Riders. All the teams are getting ready for the upcoming event for the marquee league. Meanwhile, the new franchise, Gujarat Titans, released their new kit ahead of the IPL during an event at their home ground, Narendra Modi Stadium. Gujarat skipper Hardik Pandya, head coach Ashish Nehra and director of cricket operations Vikram Solanki did the jersey launch.
Skipper Hardik Pandya interacted with the Media during the jersey launch
Some local cricketers and media people were also invited to the event, and it was a fun interaction between the media and Hardik. Hardik was asked about him playing against MS Dhoni and CSK. To this question, the all-rounder replied that, despite the fact that Dhoni will be on the other side, he would like to face every team in the IPL. Presenter Vikram Sathaye asked the all-rounder about his helicopter shot. Hardik replied that it will always be MSD who is the actual inventor of the helicopter shot.
One of the media people also asked the GT skipper about the vision of the team in the IPL. The all-rounder replied that his vision will be very clear to create an environment so that every player could gel easily and feel at home.
But the best part of the day came when one asked the skipper about his fitness and bowling. After having some fun banter, one media person asked Hardik whether he would be bowling in the IPL or not. To this, the all-rounder gave a funny reply. He said, “Let it be a surprise, sir,” and they both started laughing at his answer. Hardik said, “Sir, surprise hai vo, Surprise ko surprise rehne do.”
Considering the fact that Hardik was seen bowling in the nets, it appears that he might be bowling in the IPL. And he seemed fully fit as well. However, if it happens, it will be the best thing for the fans. Becuase he is a great asset for the team, once he is fully fit.
