Following the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR)’s stunning victory which turn out to be a rather huge humiliation for the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), fans have been complaining about Sunil Narine’s particular delivery that got him the wicket of Virat Kohli.

In the match number 9 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023, Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) hosted the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) back again at the Eden Gardens on the 6th of April.

After being asked to bat first after losing the toss, Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) posted a huge total of 204 runs on the board. KKR were in a rather terrible position having lost 5 wickets for just 89 runs.

As a result, KKR recovered well and posted a target that eventually proved too much for the Bangalore side.

Despite getting off to a good, scoring over 40 runs in 4 overs, RCB inning just trembled infront of the KKR’s spin trio of Sunil Narine, Varun Chakravarthy and Suyash Sharma. It was Sunil Narine who drew the first blood as he bowled Virat Kohli with a fantastic ball that Kohli failed to read at all.

Following that, RCB inning just crumbled under pressure and eventually were all out for 123 runs and KKR won the match by 81 runs. However, today, the fans have sharing video and opinion on social media that Sunil Narine bowled illegally to get the wicket of Kohli.

The fans have shared a video on social media and calling it that Narine chucked his arm to get the wicket. As per cricket rules, the bowler’s hand be straight during the release point of the ball. You can also watch the video below.

Narine’s been a suspect of illegal bowling before as well when the player was banned from playing cricket for some times because of that. He then reworked on his action and got the approval from the ICC after bowling Test and was allowe to play thereafter.

Despite all the controversy, it was certainly one of the worst performance from the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) side. Fans were not happy with Michael Bracewell being promoted to 3rd in the batting order while also Harshal Patel was promoted to 5th in the batting order.

RCB were set for a less than 100 runs total until the last duo of David Willey and Akash Deep added a partnership of 27 runs for the last wicket. RCB will next play at home against Lucknow Super Giants on the 10th of April.
