Delhi Capitals players were asked to describe MS Dhoni in one word; this youngster’s reply won everyone’s heart

MS Dhoni is widely regarded as one of the most accomplished captains in the history of cricket. He has tasted great success with the Chennai Super Kings, having led them to victory in the Indian Premier League on four occasions.

Dhoni’s popularity transcends his team and extends to all parts of the world where cricket is celebrated. Despite retiring from international cricket on August 15, 2020, the 41-year-old continues to be an integral part of the Chennai Super Kings squad in the IPL.

Before an upcoming match between Chennai Super Kings and Delhi Capitals, some of the players from the opposing team were asked to describe the former India captain in a single word.

When asked to describe MS Dhoni in one word, some players chose words like “legend,” “captain” and “god.” However, Priyam Garg, a young batter, had a different and intriguing answer.

Delhi Capitals recently shared a video in which Priyam Garg was asked to describe MS Dhoni in one word. Garg’s response was quite unique, as he stated that there is no single word that can encapsulate Dhoni’s greatness. Mukesh Kumar also said the same about MS Dhoni.

MS Dhoni’s Chennai Super Kings currently hold the second position in the IPL 2023 points table, having amassed 13 points from 11 games. Despite losing two of their last four matches and having one game washed out, Dhoni’s side still maintains a lead over most other teams who have played the same number or one less game and are sitting on 10 points.

Recently, Suresh Raina, Dhoni’s former India and CSK teammate, shared an interesting tidbit about the veteran cricketer’s retirement plans.

In an interview with JioCinema, Raina disclosed that during a recent meeting with Dhoni, the latter had revealed that he intends to continue playing for another year after winning the trophy. Dhoni referred to himself as “Thala,” a Tamil term meaning “leader,” which has been used by CSK fans to refer to him over the years.
