The 2nd match of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2023 was a huge a battle between Peshawar Zalmi and Karachi Kings and former Karachi Kings teammates Mohammad Amir and Babar Azam.
Pakistan Super League is one of the biggest T20 league in the world, some even say the 2nd best T20 league after the Indian Premier League (IPL).
The season begun with a huge controversy as Karachi Kings pace bowler Mohammad Amir made some remarks about the former Karachi Kings batsman and captain Babar Azam.
Mohammad Amir, Karachi Kings’ ace pace bowler said that for him, bowling to Babar Azam and the tailenders are same to him. After this comment from him, Babar Azam’s fans were angry on Amir.
And come the matchday, the 2nd match of PSL 2023, both Babar Azam and Mohammad Amir faced off with the former getting the upper-hand.
Babar Azam scored 68 runs from 46 balls. Amir bowled 4 overs and gave away 42 runs without taking any wicket. During the match, Babar also faced Amir’s bowling and smashed him boundaries, that made Amir furious and angry. You can watch the video below.
As for the match, Peshawar Zalmi scored 199 runs in their 20 overs with Babar Azam and Tom Kohler-Cadmore scored 68 and 92 runs respectively. Despite efforts from Shoaib Malik and Imad Wasim, Karachi Kings could score 197 runs and lost the match by 1 run.
