Avesh Khan, who got the Man of the Match award for his tremendous bowling performance in the match against Sunrisers Hyderabad, has dedicated the award to his mother, who is currently hospitalized right now.
In match number 12 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 between Lucknow Super Giants and Sunrisers Hyderabad, it is the former who walked out victorious, that to a great display with the bat and ball from the players.
While KL Rahul and Deepak Hooda was the hero with the bat, both scoring 68 runs and 51 runs respectively. But the job was made much easier when Avesh Khan displayed his true colours, picking up 4 wickets and absolutely giving no opportunity to Sunrisers Hyderabad’s batsmen.
Avesh returned with the figure of 4 wickets for 24 runs in his four overs, including those two match changing wickets on the 18th over the match. He was then named Man of the Match for his performance.
Later in an exclusive video uploaded on IPLT20.com, he disclosed that his mother in currently hospitalized and is dedicating his Man of the Award to his mother. She also added that by God’s grace, she currently in better condition.
He stated to Deepak Hooda in the video, “I would like to dedicate this performance to my mother, who is currently hospitalized. I got a lot of support from there as well. As soon as the match finished, I called her up and interacted on video call. I asked her if she is okay. With God’s grace, she is fine. I want to dedicate this (performance) to my mother.”
With his performance yesterday night, Avesh Khan is now the 2nd highest wicket-taker in the IPL 2022, behind Kolkata Knight Riders’ Umesh Yadav, who currently holds the Purple Cap.
