As we all know, there is a fierce debate among cricket enthusiasts about who is the better batsman, Virat or Babar. We all know Virat is having trouble regaining his bat rhythm. Meanwhile, Babar is on fire, having climbed to the top of the ICC Men’s ODI and T20 rankings.
Former Pakistan fast-bowler and head coach of Lahore Qalandars Aqib Javed has said that Virat Kohli is now past his peak and now Babar Azam is ahead of him.
While talking in a show on ARY News, Aqib said that the former Indian captain has been struggling for a while now and his peak is over and Pakistan’s skipper Babar Azam has moved ahead of him. He said, “Now I think Babar is ahead. He [Kohli] had his peak but now going down. But Babar, on the other hand, is going up,”
On the comparisons between Shaheen Afridi and Jasprit Bumrah and also between Rizwan and Rishabh Pant, he said that Afridi is now a better bowler than bumrah. He told, “Shaheen has proved he is even better and has more capacity than Bumrah”
He also praised Rizwan for his responsible batting these days. He said, “There is no doubt that Pant is an extremely skilful player but the way Rizwan takes the responsibility, Pant is well behind him”. He said it is not all about playing the big shots and getting out, finishing a game is a key part.
