“Other teams find players, MS Dhoni makes players” – Former Indian cricketer all praise for CSK captain MS Dhoni after stunning last over win vs RCB

MS Dhoni, a renowned cricketer, has demonstrated exceptional leadership skills by rescuing both the CSK and India teams from difficult situations in the past. His guidance has enabled players to thrive and receive valuable insights into the game.

Aakash Chopra, a former cricketer, recently commended the CSK captain’s leadership abilities, highlighting how players tend to perform at their best under his tutelage.

According to Chopra, Dhoni is unique in the sense that he doesn’t just discover players like other teams do, but rather he helps them develop and flourish. Chopra pointed to the cases of Ajinkya Rahane and Shivam Dube as examples of players who have thrived under Dhoni’s leadership. The former cricketer highlighted how Dhoni possesses a special quality that allows players to reach their full potential under his guidance.

“Ajinkya Rahane likes Bangalore and batted very well till the time he was there. Shivam Dube also batted very well. He was earlier a part of RCB and then the Rajasthan Royals as well, but what do you see with Dhoni – all other teams find players, MS Dhoni doesn’t find but makes players,” the former Indian cricketer said in a recent video uploaded on his YouTube channel.

Chopra expressed his delight at witnessing players perform exceptionally well under Dhoni’s captaincy. He cited Shivam Dube as a prime example and also mentioned how Ajinkya Rahane has transformed as a player in just a few matches under Dhoni’s guidance. The former cricketer even praised Rahane’s impressive pulled six and described it as a remarkable shot.

During Chennai’s most recent match of IPL 2023, both Shivam Dube and Ajinkya Rahane displayed excellent form, with Dube scoring a crucial 52 off 27 balls and Rahane contributing 37 runs from 20 deliveries. Along with Devon Conway’s outstanding 83 off 45 balls, CSK managed to post a formidable total of 226 runs on the scoreboard.

Despite Faf du Plessis’ impressive 62 off 33 balls and Glenn Maxwell’s quickfire 76 off 36 balls, which seemed to put RCB in a commanding position to win the match within 20 overs, CSK’s timely breakthroughs and Dhoni’s composed leadership ultimately secured an eight-run victory in the high-scoring thriller at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium.
