Peshawar Zalmi scripted a brilliant win last night in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2023 beating Karachi Kings in the match number 17 of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2023 edition.
Peshawar Zalmi and Karachi Kings are two of the teams that are currently lavishing towards the bottom of the PSL 2023 points table. As such, this was always set to be cracking competition.
After winning the toss, Karachi captain Imad Wasim opted to bowl first. Karachi hard early on with pacer Mohammad Amir getting the better of Mohammad Haris, Babar Azam and Saim Ayub, leaving Peshawar 3 wickets down for 2 runs only.
But then, Peshawar’s middle-order scripted a brilliant comeback. Tom Kohler-Cadmore, Haseebullah Khan and Rovman Powell all scored individual half-century and led Peshawar Zalmi to a total of 197 runs at the end of 20 overs from being 3 wickets down for 2 runs at a moment. They lost only 2 wickets thereafter.
Chasing the target, Karachi Kings kept on losing wickets at a regular interval and never really did a player went for the target. Matthew Wade scored a fifty but took 41 balls and Karachi’s captain Imad Wasim also scored fifty, but didn’t get the proper support from the other end.
While the things didn’t go their way for the Karachi Kings team, their pace bowler Mohammad Amir did enjoy a fruitful night, taking 4 wickets, one of them including of Babar Azam. However, it was actually the dismissal of other opening batsman Mohammad Haris that made a start of the night.
Amir bowled a brilliant yorker delivery that gave Haris no chance to play it and got out LBW for Golden Duck. You can watch the video below.
