A fascinating Test cricket is set to get underway today in Pakistan as the hosts Pakistan cricket team takes on the red hot in form team England in a 3 match Test series. Meanwhile, Babar Azam’s statement has many surprised.
After a huge gap of 17 years that the England team is playing a Test series on Pakistan’s soil, beginning from today 1st December, a total of 3 matches are to be played as per the itinerary.
Before the 1st match of the Test series, Pakistan captain Babar Azam faced the media and he stated that Pakistan team is fighting to make it to the World Test Championship Final, to be played at the Lord’s in June 2023.
Pakistan is currently in 5th place in the points table and needs to win all their remaining matches. A slip-up could cost them that final slot. As such, Babar Azam’s statement has left many wondering.
