2 key RCB players also ruled out of IPL 2023 due to injury; injury list keeps growing before IPL 2023

The injury list is just keep on growing just ahead of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023’s first match between the Gujarat Titans and the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) could even start. There is already more than 2 dozens of players who are set to miss the entire or part of IPL 2023.

The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 edition is set to be a great one for all the 10 teams that takes part in the IPL. Especially for for the Gujarat Titans, who are the defending champions having won the IPL 2022 in their inaugural season in the competition.

Teams like Chennai Super Kings and Mumbai Indians would look to bounce back from what was a horrid season for the two teams in the IPL 2022, finishing in the bottom two places respectively. Mainly for CSK, it was hurtful season as they had to deal with captaincy change mid-season plus they were the defending champions.

The same test awaits the Gujarat Titans as well. Meanwhile teams like Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) who reached the playoffs in IPL 2022, would look to take that further step and win the IPL Trophy.

But even before their IPL 2023 could begin, Royal Challengers Bangalore have been dealt with a number of injury issues. While Will Jacks has already been ruled out, Glenn Maxwell is not fully fit for the competition. And now the latest addition to the list are the Australian pace bowler Josh Hazlewood and Indian middle-order batsman Rajat Patidar.

While Josh Hazlewood is not fully fit and is doubtful just like Maxwell, Rajat Patidar is set to miss the first chunk of matches for the franchise due to his injury. With both the players not likely to be out for the rest of the season, no replacements have been announced.
